veronxtravel : BALI - NUSA CENINGAN PART 2

Hello, welcome back! Thanks for reading part 1! If you haven't do check out part 1 first. (: Alright, here we go! So my flight to bali on the 12th of March is at 2am. Always remember to check in 2 hours before your flight time. I arrived at the airport at 10pm to have dinner first cause I'm starving. Oh, and I forgot to mention in the previous post, always bring your buddy/BFF along cause its cheaper if you travel in even numbers. Teehe. Alright, pictures time.
Check in time! Bye bye +65. We arrive at the Ngurah Rai Airport at 5am, ohgosh. We actually have to wait till 9am for the driver to come and pick us up. So, we had breakfast at the airport. After a 30 mins ride to the harbour plus 40 mins boat ride plus 30 mins of bumpy cargo rides, we finally arrive at Nusa Ceningan! A beautiful island indeed.
The view from our beach club, Le Pirate.
I can literally go on and on about the picturesque scenaries but I know it might get boring. So, a little bit of the beach box we are going to stay at.
All their beach box have a different name and ours is named MORE. There are SLOW, WORLD, WHERE etc etc. The people there were really friendly and nice. Their captain tried to give us the best experience and treat us as though we are local. Its great at Le Pirate you have hundred percent privacy and you can definitely move around like the resort belongs to you. So, we spent our first day lazing around the pool and sunbathing.
It's dinner time! Okay, I know it might not look very appealing but I actually ordered pasta with brocolli and spinach and cherry tomatoes.

The second day was a blast. We decided to go out and explore the island. However, since we do not know how to ride a scooter aka motorbike we asked the people there to give us a lift. Of course, we have to pay them and its is around 150,000 IDR which is equivalent to about SGD$15. Its abit expensive but ohwells, its better than getting lost around island right. If you know how to ride the scooter you can easily rent one from them for about SGD$8 (I think). Other than scooter rental they provide balinese massage, manicure, pedicure as well as snorkeling service. All you have to do is request and they'll settle everything for you! Their service was superb. So back to the point, scooter ride was awesomely shiok. That fast speed around the island, you could even feel the wind on your face. One thing is that, the road there is uneven and might be flooded with puddles of mudwater so you have to becareful while riding. But, that is part of the fun too! It is like a roller coaster ride ohyeah, hehehe. *Cheap thrills* Okay, so we ride to the famous Blue Lagoon on that island. That place was absolutely beautiful.
People usually go there to swim by jumping off a cliff. We totally didn't expect that so we did not prepare our swimsuits. Ohwell, next time then. Oh and btw, thats the only decent picture we had. Hahaha, we were too busy helping each other to take photos so we forgot about ourselves. Next stop: we went to Nusa Lembongan to explore a paradise, they call it the dream beach.
Breakfast for the day at dream beach plus the fruit punch I had was awesomely good.
After that we went for abit of shopping even though there are nothing much to buy there. So, we went back to the pool and had an afternoon swim session since there were no one using the pool hehe.
This sums up the second day. The third day was rather simple as we are preparing to go back to the airport, we packed up early and left for the airport and did some last minute souvenir shopping before boarding the plane.
Oh, a photo during the bumpy cargo ride. Hehe, I love the roller coaster feeling sensation.
My Ngurah Rai Airport fashion, lupsup style with slippers and messy bun.
Dinner before boarding the plane. I just felt like eating nasi lemak so please don't judge me. Their nasi lemak chilli was less spicy though.
Last photo I took before boarding the plane. Alright tata.
A tips for you guys that are going to Bali is that bring along USD if you're planning to get cheap branded goods like Longchamp, Fossils etc. We only realised that they sell those brands inside the departure gates so you might want to spend some time shopping inside after check in. However, all prices are in USD. Oh, and before you leave Denpasar, they need to collect a 200, 000 IDR tax so if you wanna leave, remember to save 200, 000 for leaving if not it will be very troublesome because there are no money changer and apparently they don't accept my POSB card. Another alternative approach that I took is to pay SGD$25 for the tax, fml. But it is better than not being able to catch the flight right. Even though it is expensive but still, I didn't had a choice. I left Denpasar with 10,000 IDR which is equivalen to around SGD$1 hahaha, I'm so broke. Okay, even though the living pace there was rather slow and peaceful I totally cannot get used to it at all. I've been working like a bull all my life and suddenly when my pace have to slow down, I am really not used to it. But, its always good to have a short break, a short getaway. Thanks Bali and thanks to all the nice people I've met during the trip, I am really grateful to all the people I met during this trip: The young lady and her boyfriend at Singapore airport, the old couple I met at Ngurah Rai Airport, the Le Pirates captain and crew, the Holland caucasian lady name Robin and the MARLIN driver. Its been a nice 3D2N, alright back to hectic week ahead! Annyeong.
